The pit of darkness.
The false gospel says that the chief end of the Gospel is God wanting to rescue men from the pit.
Actually, our brother Elihu says God desires to take men down into it—two or three times even!—that he may undo them completely and then re-do them completely, making them into gods.
19 He is chastened also with pain upon his bed, and with continual strife in his bones:
20 So that his life abhorreth bread, and his soul dainty meat.
21 His flesh is consumed away, that it cannot be seen; and his bones that were not seen stick out.
22 Yea, his soul draweth near unto the pit, and his life to the destroyers….
29 Lo, all these things doth God work, twice, yea thrice, with a valiant-man…
Yes, if you’re one of his, of his Olive Branch, he’s going to beat you,
Command the people of Israel to bring you pure oil from beaten olives for the lamp… Lev 24:2
Thus the promise belongs to those in the spirit of Jacob, the sons beaten by God,
I said, “You are gods, And all of you are sons of the Most High. Psa. 82:6.
Notice how Jesus was careful not to apply the scripture to just anyone,
“Is it not written in your Law: ‘I have said you are gods’ ? If he called them gods to whom the word of God [Christ] came—and the Scripture cannot be broken” John 10:34-35
