What kind of geber are you?
Thus has said the LORD,
Cursed is the geber* who is trusting in Adam
And has set flesh his arm,
And is turning aside his heart from the LORD.
And he HAS BEEN like a stripped bush in the Arabah-desert
And he is not seeing when good is coming in,
But has dwelt in stony wastes in the Wilderness,
An earth of saltiness without inhabitant.
Blessed is the geber* who is trusting in the LORD
And he HAS BEEN the LORD his refuge.
And he HAS BEEN like a tree planted by the water,
he is sending out his roots by a stream
And he is not fearing when the heat is coming;
And he HAS BEEN his leaf green,
And he is not being anxious in a year of drought
And he is not ceasing from making fruit.
