God reveals an image of himself as a Father who builds, protects, and subdues nature for his loved ones. God created Adam and men after his image. The father and mother are two distinct images. Adam and Eve were not created after God’s kind, but were created after one kind, the dust of the ground, yet manifesting in their design, and thus foreshadowing, two distinct glories and promises as revealed once and for all in Christ and the Bride. Jesus Christ, being the second man after the heavenly kind, leads men and women to be reborn after the same heavenly kind, God’s kind, and to look to their new heavenly images, the Father and Mother, to find their sanctification, glory, and honor.
GEN 1:1 In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. GEN 1:2 And the Spirit of God was hovering[ףחַרָ] over the face of the waters. DEU 32:11 NASB Like an eagle that stirs up its nest, That hovers[ףחַרָ] over its young, He spread His wings and caught them, He carried them on His pinions. GEN 1:26 Then God said, “Let Us make man[Adam] in our image, according to our likeness; and let them rule[lit. tread/trample] over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the sky and over the cattle and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” GEN 10:8 Now Cush became the father of Nimrod; he became a mighty one on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD.” JOB 37 Entire chapter. EXO 15:3 The LORD is a man of war: the LORD is his name. ISA 42:13 The LORD will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies. GEN 1:27 God created Adam in His own image. In the image of God He created him[masculine acc. singular]. Male and female He created them. GEN 5:3 When Adam had lived 130 years, he fathered a son in his own likeness, after his image, and named him Seth. 1 COR 11:7 For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God, but woman is the glory of man. COL 1:15 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation.
EZE 16:44 Behold, everyone who uses proverbs will use this proverb about you: ‘Like mother, like daughter.’ JOH 5:19 So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, the son can do nothing of his own accord, but only what he sees the father doing. For whatever the father does, that the son does likewise. 20 For the father loves the son and shows him all that he himself is doing. And greater works than these will he show him, so that you may marvel. REV 12:1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. 2 She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.

1 COR 15:40 There are heavenly bodies and earthly bodies, but the glory of the heavenly is of one kind, and the glory of the earthly is of another. 41 There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory. REV 21:2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
2 PET 1:4 by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. ROM 8:29 For those whom he foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers.
2 COR 3:18 NASB But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as from the Lord, the Spirit. GAL 4:23 But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, while the son of the free woman was born through promise. 24 Now this may be interpreted allegorically: these women are two covenants. 26 But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother. REV 21:2 I saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. REV 12:1 And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars. EZE 16:8 Later I passed by, and when I looked at you and saw that you were old enough for love, I spread my wings over you and covered your naked body. I gave you my solemn oath and entered into a covenant with you, declares the Sovereign Lord, and you became mine.
